Hello Artists!
This is your last lesson of the school year. I hope you have had a lot of fun making art with these "Distance Learning" opportunities. I also hope that you will continue being creative throughout the summer months. Now, why don't you go make artwork outside, like Claude Monet?! You may even like to listen to the music video: Claude Monet Complete Works, on line Gallery while you work. Enjoy!

Week of May 11
Virtual Art Museum Field Trip
I wish we could be together on this field trip! But since we can't, I want you to use your Artist Eyes to take a look at some of this awesome art.
- Check out some of these amazing works of art at the Boca Raton Museum of Art(k-1) or
- The Tate Museum(2-5). Print & take some notes. (No printer? No problem, use any paper.)
- Then maybe take some time to create some artwork inside the tiny frames that you would print out. (No printer? No problem! Just draw some small rectangles on your paper.)
- Next, cut out the frames and display the artwork like a museum would. Tape them on a board or line them up on a table.
- Got some play doh? You can create sculptures too! Maybe a pet or favorite animal.
- Take a bunch of pics to show your art teacher, and send them!
- After that you can hop onto the Time Machine for kids at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and explore! There is a ton of art history here, along with fun games to play!

Week of April 20
Hi my most wonderful artists! I think that you are all superheroes.
Use any art supplies that you have to complete the assignment.
Assignment: Create a Superhero Self Portrait...(video below)
Look in a mirror to know what you look like, HA!
I want you to use your art super powers to create a self-portrait of you as a super hero!
1) Watch: Dex, and another video of your choice.
What was your favorite?
2) Think: We all know about Marvel and DC Super Heroes like Spiderman and Wonder Woman. Some heroes today wear masks and are part of our community! You may have seen them on tv. Who are they and what do they do?
3) Make Art: The boots, the cape, the logo, the mask! Make it colorful, Original, and Fantastic. You could make yourself flying up in the sky, busting through a brick wall. Anything! BE Creative!
I have attached some how-to draw videos and some read-aloud videos to help you in your art making adventure.
